Bruce Albert, owner of Albert Estate LTD, used his passion for antiques and transformed it into a passion for entrepreneurship. Former President and CEO of A’ Homestead Shoppe, he founded the company back in the mid 1970's by recognizing his interests in buying and selling antiques. Soon after he realized the demand was not simply for antiques but more so the look and feel of an antique. Bruce pursued antique reproduction lighting. This consisted of wrought iron lighting and glass lamp lighting. The move into lighting facilitated a need for lamp shades to go on the lamps. Bruce first purchased the lampshades from outside sources but soon realized that this was something he could easily do himself. With that in mind Bruce began manufcturing lampshades made of popular craft fabrics to go on the reproduction lighting he was buying.
